ONTELAUNEE TWP., Pa. -

A family that lost everything in a fire last month got quite a surprise Wednesday.

"I did not open it yet, but I believe students raised over $750 for us," said Jessica Miller.

Schuylkill Valley Middle School students launched a campaign to collect spare change for the Miller family. They collected more than $750.

The students were motivated to help after fire damaged the family's home in Bern Township on Feb. 24.

The class that raised the most money was treated to an ice cream party.
