READING, Pa. -

A major tax credit could help lure businesses to the Reading area, officials said.

The Community First Fund says the credit will be used to help revitalize the city because it's an incentive for developers who are thinking big.

"It will allow us to do projects in the $5 million plus range, projects like the Lincoln, other charter schools, supermarkets, federally qualified health centers and general economic development projects," said Daniel Betancourt, Community First Fund.

The Community First Fund said it has made more than 1,100 loans since it was founded in 1992.
