An eighth grade boy who stabbed a classmate two weeks ago has admitted to attempted homicide charges.
The two students saw each other in court Tuesday for the first time since the attack at Wilson Southern Middle School on Jan. 15.
The 14-year-old victim was stabbed three times with a pocket knife in a second floor hallway that was crowded with students who were changing class at the time.
The suspect fled the school but was apprehended by police nearby a short time later.
The middle school and neighboring Cornwall Terrace Elementary were placed on lockdown for three hours before students were dismissed for the day.
