The Twin Valley School District may try to save money by shortening the school day.
The superintendent said the district is considering cutting 45 minutes of instructional time from students in grades seven through 12 and 15 minutes from students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
The move would lead to the elimination of 12 teaching positions and save the district about $800,000.
Officials said more meetings will be held before a final decision is made.
