Volunteers are sprucing up an education center and park in southwest Reading.
About a dozen employees from Suburban Water Testing Labs spent the day repairing a stone wall and painting railings in Angelica Creek Park.
They're giving the Berks County Conservancy a helping hand as part of the United Way's Day of Caring.
"We really wanted to do something that focused on giving back to the environment and something in Berks County, and the Berks Conservancy is leading a great effort in our environmental issues, so they were a great natural choice," said Sara Stump, Suburban Water Testing Labs.
The volunteers said it was great to get out of the office and support a good cause.
