Water main break snarls traffic in Sinking Spring
The Arctic air may be to blame for a water main break at a busy intersection in Berks County.
Part of Route 724 is closed near Penn Avenue in Sinking Spring while crews repair the four-inch pipe, which broke shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday.
Pennsylvania American Water said it took crews some time to locate the break.
Only a couple businesses and a couple homes are without water because of the break, officials said.
The company does not have an estimated restoration time, but officials said they do expect repairs to continue through at least the evening commute.
