One lucky lottery player in the Laureldale area got a big shock Wednesday night.
Someone who bought a Cash 5 ticket at the Universal Mart on Kutztown Road won $225,000.
The ticket matched all five numbers -- 13-20-22-27-38 -- in Wednesday night's drawing.
The store will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The Pennsylvania Lottery said it awarded nearly $49.5 million in prizes to winners in Berks County during the 2010-11 fiscal year, during which time it also contributed nearly $28.9 million to programs serving the county’s older residents.
