Pennsylvania State Police may be closing the books on an apparent rash of burglaries in Berks County.

The latest crime happened around 12:30 a.m. on September 5 at the Walmart in Tilden Township, near Hamburg.

Two people forced entry into a caged structure behind the store on Tilden Ridge Drive and made off with 52 used automotive batteries, police revealed Wednesday.

A possible suspect in the case is in custody for similar burglaries in the area, police said. The person's name has not been released.
