Some hockey players are rolling up their sleeves and helping feed the hungry in Berks County.
The Lehigh Valley Flames players have spent the last few weeks planting and picking crops at the Rodale Institute in Maxatawny Township.
So far, they've delivered nearly 700 pounds of food to the Greater Berks Food Bank.
The team's coach said the hard work is helping bring the players together.
"It's important to get out of the ice rink and do different things and do different activities, and this is really something and this is really something they can be proud of as they work together," said Keith Krem.
The team will be back out in fields through the rest of the summer.
