Jeffrey White, former Reading manager, ordered to prison in child luring case
A one-time top official in Reading has been ordered to serve time in state prison.
Jeffrey White, the city's former managing director, was sentenced to six months to two years in state prison and five years' special probation.
White, already a registered sex offender, pleaded guilty in November to unlawful contact with a child for trying to lure a 13-year-old girl online for sex.
White was also arrested in 2005 as part of a state-led child sex sting operation. At the time, he was trying to lure a 15-year-old girl online, officials said.
White served as managing director during the Eppihimer administration.
