Family, friends and colleagues of Sally Miksiewicz are planning to bid farewell to the leader of East Penn Manufacturing.

Sally Miksiewicz, the chief executive officer of her family-owned company, died last Friday when she was struck by a pickup truck while jogging near her home in Pike Township, Berks County.

A celebration of Miksiewicz's life has been scheduled for this Friday, June 27, at the O'Pake Field House at Kutztown University. Doors will open at 8 a.m.; the service will begin at 9 a.m.

Miksiewicz joined East Penn, which was founded by her father, following her graduation from Moravian College in Bethlehem in 1984. She was promoted to CEO in 2009.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz Scholarship Fund, Moravian College, 1200 Main Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.

State police continue their investigation of the accident that took Miksiewicz's life. No charges have been filed.
