Volunteers on way to Okla. with donations for storm victims
Donations from our area are on the way to help tornado victims in the Midwest.
A woman from the Gilbertsville area is taking a truckload of items to the people of Moore, Okla.
Patti Marcus said she wanted to do something after seeing the devastation a tornado caused on May 20.
She originally planned to fly there with a few items. Her idea quickly turned into a Facebook effort called "Operation Fill the Garage."
"The bed of his truck was completely loaded with clothing and linens and towel and all stuff to take down," said Marcus.
Marcus said the effort has shown her that there are more good people than bad in the world.
