OCEAN CITY, Md. -

Police have arrested two Ocean City, Maryland residents in connection with the beating death of a Lehigh County man.

Justin D. Cancelliere of North Whitehall died after being assaulted early Sunday morning.

Caleb Edwin-Earl Ochse, 27, was arrested Tuesday at his place of work. Christopher Blake Kendall, 22, turned himself in to police hours later.

Ochse is being held in the Worcester County Jail after a bail hearing Wednesday in district court in Snow Hill, Maryland.

Kendall was released on personal recognizance Wednesday morning after a district court commissioner found no probable cause for the charges against him, however this does not mean that the charges were dropped.

The two face manslaughter, second degree assault, affray and reckless endangerment charges.

Police said they were involved in an altercation Sunday morning before 3 a.m. that led to the death of the 37-year-old Cancelliere.

According to court documents, Cancelliere had gotten in to an argument with Ochse and Kendall down the street from Fat Daddy's sub shop on Baltimore Avenue in Ocean City.

Cancelliere's cousin told police that Ochse and Kendall had been "acting in a disorderly manner" in the sub shop. Cancelliere exchanged words with Ochse and Kendall and a fight broke out. Cancelliere's cousin and two friends were present and the cousin broke up the fight.

Ochse and Kendall fled the scene and one of Cancelliere's friends took him by taxi to the Plim Plaza Hotel in the 100 block of Atlantic Avenue. Cancelliere was then transported from there by EMS to the hospital.

Cancelliere's death was ruled a homicide by the chief medical examiner after an autopsy. Head and neck trauma caused his death. He was pronounced dead at 6:50 a.m. Sunday at Atlantic General Hospital.

Police say that neither Ochse nor Kendall denied being involved in the fight throughout their investigation.
