Critics of Allentown's plan to lease its water and sewer systems are sounding off.
City Council candidates Carmen Bell, Kim Velez and Alfonso Todd spoke out against the plan and the Lehigh County Authority's $220-million offer.
They say Mayor Ed Pawlowski and city council haven't been transparent and have been hostile to public input.
The public is expected to have its say at a city council meeting Wednesday night.
Pawlowski tells 69 News the city has laid out the case for the lease over the last year-and-a-half.
He also says it's irresponsible to put the city's future at risk for political gain.
