The Lehigh County Coroner's office said an Allentown man died Saturday due to the excessive heat.

Officials pronounced Llan Gacel, 86, of Chew Street dead Saturday night inside his home.

The coroner said Gacel died from hyperthermia due to excessive heat.  Officials said the temperature inside Gacel's home was over 90 degrees.

Officials said Gacel had air conditioning, but did not have it turned on.

His death was ruled an accident.
