As Pawlowski hits the road in his bid for governor his challenger in November's mayoral race says he's been left in the dust.

Independent candidate Michael Donovan says he's challenged the mayor to three debates but says Mayor Pawlowski still hasn't accepted.

Donovan is a former city councilman.

He held a rally Tuesday on Ninth and Hamilton streets in Allentown.

He says he has some questions for the mayor.

"Mayor decides to go off and run for governor, that's his choice. I don't see how he can manage the city," said Donovan.

Pawlowski's campaign manager says the mayor "looks forward" to the opportunity to debate Donovan but he says the time and location of the debates will depend on Pawlowski's schedule.
