Alvernia students fight childhood cancer with walk

Cancer Walk

Students at Alvernia University got together Sunday to help children fighting cancer.

Two students helped organize the "CURE-sader" walk on campus to raise money for Alex's Lemonade Stand.

One of the girls who organized the event got involved because she has a sister fighting the disease.

Students who participated in today's walk got pledges from the community.

Proceeds from the event go toward funding research and finding a cure for pediatric cancer.
