It cost millions of dollars to secure funding for the hockey arena project in downtown Allentown, officials announced Wednesday.
The authority overseeing the development of the arena said it cost $4.2 million to issue the bonds. The issuance raised $224 million to fund the project.
The authority, officials said, will use some of that bond money to pay the 4.2 millionĀ fee.
The hockey arena is slated to open in the fall of 2014.
