Bangor man arrested for not registering as sex offender
A man has been arrested for not registering as a sex offender, authorities said.
Police said Francis Fober, 46, was living at 351 Messinger St., in Bangor, Northampton Co., but failed to register as a sex offender under Megan's Law.
Police arrested Fober at that address on Wednesday. He was arraigned and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $75,000 bail.
Fober was convicted in Florida in 2001 on a charge of "lewdly fondle or assault, commit or simulate sexual acts on or in the presence of a child under 16 in a lewd, lascivious or indecent manner."
His sentence requires him to be registered as a sex offender for life.
