Bethlehem man spits on cop, gets hit by Taser outside Platinum Plus
Andrew Alvarez refuses to disperse at police's orders
A Bethlehem man was arrested early Friday morning outside an Allentown gentleman's club for spitting on a police officer.
Police said Andrew L. Alvarez, of 610 Prospect Ave., challenged a group of men as they left Platinum Plus at 1251 Airport Road around 2:10 a.m.
The club hires two uniformed Allentown Police officers to be at the club, and when they ordered the men to disperse, all did except 25-year-old Alvarez.
His friend was able to get Alvarez in a car, but Alvarez continued to ignore officers' orders, and even spit on one. The officer had to use a Taser gun on Alvarez, police said.
Alvarez faces charges of failure of disorderly person to disperse upon official order, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, harassment, and public drunkenness.
