Police in Bethlehem, along with U.S. Marshals, arrested two men who were wanted on charges of criminal homicide charges in Florida, officials say.
Jamal Jackson and Manuel Rey, both 19 and of Orlando, Fl., were taken into custody without incident around 2:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the area of E. Washington Ave. and Easton Ave., according to police.
Both Jackson and Rey were arraigned by a Northampton Co. judge on charges of being fugitives from justice and were committed to Northampton Co. Prison before being extradited back to Florida, police say.
The two arrests were the result of a joint cooperative effort by the U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force and the City of Bethlehem Police Department. The investigation is currently ongoing.
