UPPER MOUNT BETHEL TWP., Pa. -

Charges have been dropped against a Northampton County man accused of drunkenly attacking an elderly woman with a piece of heavy machinery.

Early last month, police say Donald Riley, of Upper Mount Bethel Township, used a front-end loader to pin his ex-girlfriend's mother to the ground.

The 73-year-old victim suffered minor injuries.

Riley was charged with assault, harassment and reckless endangerment, but officials tell us those charges have been dropped.
