A group of Lehigh Valley community leaders hit the road Wednesday to help senior citizens in need.

Local mayors, commissioners and other officials pitched in to help Meals on Wheels as part of the "March for Meals delivery day.

The annual event is held nationwide to bring awareness to the need for home- delivered meals for seniors in need.

The Lehigh County chapter of Meals on Wheels delivers more than 300 meals every week.
