A man found guilty of stealing over $142,000 worth of items from homes and businesses around the Lehigh Valley was sentenced to 20-40 years in prison Friday morning, officials say.
Angel Miguel Vargas was sentenced to the maximum allowable time under his previously negotiated plea deal, according to police.
Vargas, along with another man named George Washington, were arrested in Hazelton in January after a string of robberies that began in 2009. He plead guilty in late May, officials say.
