Officials in Bethlehem are investigating a crash involving a city police cruiser.

Officials say the cop car and an SUV collided at the intersection of High and East Market Streets around 3:00 Wednesday afternoon.

These photos were taken at the scene by Lehigh Valley Breaking News.

Police say one officer was taken to the hospital as a precaution but no major injuries were reported.

The intersection was blocked off while crews cleaned up the mess but it's since been re-opened.
