A legal battle continues to brew between Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin and county Controller Glenn Eckhart.
Martin claims Eckhart went from being county commissioner to county controller without a two-year break between the positions, which he said is illegal.
Eckhart claims there's no law requiring the two-year break.
The men took their arguments to court Friday afternoon.
Martin has filed a motion for summary judgement, which means the courts would make a decision in the case based on judicial law.
Eckhart now has 20 days to do the same or file a dispute.
