Daniel Knotts accused of assaulting wife, police say

Police have arrested a man in connection with an assault in Lehigh County early Saturday.
Upper Macungie Twp. Police said a 31-year-old woman told Allentown Police she was assaulted by her husband, 38-year-old Daniel T. Knotts of Allentown.
The woman told police the incident started in the parking lot of the Sunset Grille Restaurant at 6751 Ruppsville Road, around 3:15 a.m. and continued en route to and at a home in the 700 block of North Muhlenberg Street in Allentown.
The victim was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment.
Knotts was charged with unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, simple assault and harassment.
