SALISBURY TWP., Pa. -

Some local first responders wrapped up National EMS Week with a very special reunion.

The Lehigh Valley Health Network hosted a barbecue at its Cedar Crest campus on Friday to reunite a young boy with the EMS workers who helped save his life.

Last summer, 5-year-old Justin Hudsco was seriously injured in a lawn mower accident.

At Friday's event, he met with members of the Northampton Regional EMS crew who responded that day.

"It's a very thankful and rewarding profession, and events like this, being able to meet patients that we've had in the past, I think that's the most gratifying part," said Jarad Yeastedt, Northampton Regional EMS.

Justin's leg had to be amputated after the accident, but after some rehabilitation and a prosthetic leg, he's back on his feet.
