The Easton Farmers Market is expanding with the help of a hometown brewer.

"Weyerbacher Wednesdays" got underway Wednesday afternoon in Easton's Centre Square.

Easton-based Weyerbacher brewery is sponsoring the new market.

It's a reflection of the city's revitalization.

Organizers say there are now enough people living and working in downtown Easton to make this work.

"The buzz on Facebook and around town has been tremendous. Folks are so excited and people are dedicated to eating fresh and local all week long," said Megan McBride of the Easton's Farmers Market.

Weyerbacher Wednesdays will run every Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. through September in addition to the traditional Saturday summer and winter markets.
