EASTON, Pa. -

Easton is doing what it can to keep a holiday tradition alive.

Mayor Sal Panto announced Tuesday that the city will sell garden flags to help raise the $10,000 needed to make improvements to the Peace Candle.

The flags will be sold at local businesses and at Easton and Phillipsburg high schools.

The city already sells cookbooks and takes donations for the candle.

Last year's money went toward re-tiling the exterior.

The Peace Candle will be lit in Easton's Centre Square this Friday.
