Family gets new home

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

When the Jafari family left a refugee camp in Tanzania five years ago, they never imagined they would own their own home.  But on Saturday, their dreams came true.

Habitat for Humanity stepped in with an army of volunteers to build a home for the family of four in Bethlehem.

The Jafari's have also received help from Catholic Charities and a local church to provide them with clothing and help finding work and schools.

The family said they've seen so many great changes since they moved.

"I didn't have a car. I got help from the people. Now I have my own transportation. I have a beautiful home right now. I'm working. I'm very happy," said Byamungu Jafari.

The family will officially move in to their new home in two weeks.
