Death of young girl found near trail a suicide, coroner says

A young girl found dead near a trail in Lehigh County on Wednesday took her own life, the coroner said.

Family members searching for the missing girl said they found her body in a wooded area near the Ironton Rail to Trail just before 9 a.m.

Investigators earlier said they didn't believe the girl's death was suspicious. The coroner has since determined it to be a suicide.
