NAZARETH, Pa. -

Show 'em what you got, Lehigh Valley.

Monday local businesses had a chance to woo investors from overseas.

The Lehigh Valley is one of two places the World Forum of Foreign Direct Investment is touring outside of Philly.

The City of Brotherly Love is hosting the event, a week long forum where foreign investors look for places to put their money.

Nazareth's Martin Guitar is no stranger to being seen on an international stage, but Monday the guitar manufacturing icon played host to a different kind of world tour.

Two dozen foreign investors toured the company's factory.

The tour, which also made stops in Allentown's arena district and at B. Braun in Bethlehem, is part of the World Forum, a week long economic summit of foreign investors that is being held in Philadelphia.

For Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp. head Don Cunningham, this side trip is a chance to put the Lehigh Valley on the world stage.

"We are really fortunate to get a group of people coming into the Lehigh Valley, they really wanted to see manufacturing," Cunningham said.

Cunningham says the Valley has a track record of international appeal. A Chinese manufacturing company recently announced plans to set up shop in the area and a dozen German companies already call the Valley home.

Investor representative Johann Sponar says a French flavor is coming to the Valley too.

"We are about to close a deal with a very big French company, can't name it because not announced but proud to be her," he said.

The French company is set for Nazareth.
