A Fountain Hill, Lehigh Co., police officer has been fired over claims he used unreasonable force.
Borough council members voted unanimously Monday night to terminate Ofc. Grady Cunningham.
Police Chief Edward Bachert said the decision stems from an incident that happened last June. Cunningham violated departmental policy when he allegedly threw a handcuffed suspect to the ground, Bachert said.
Another officer involved in the incident, Matt Shrey, is facing suspension, Bachert said.
