A leak of natural gas prompted officials to close a busy intersection in Allentown for a short time Monday evening.

The leak was reported around 4:40 p.m. Monday behind the Dunkin' Donuts at South 4th Street and Emaus Avenue in Allentown.

The intersection was closed for about a half-hour. Salisbury Township officers provided traffic assistance.
