Glen Loebsack, who allegedly hit sleeping girlfriend with lamp, now in custody
A man who assaulted his sleeping girlfriend with a lamp on Christmas Day is now in custody, officials said.
Glen Loebsack was arraigned Wednesday night on assault and harassment charges for hitting Carmen A. Jordan over the head with a lamp as she slept in a bedroom in their home at 150 South Union St., Easton, officials said.
After Jordan awoke, she was chased outside by Loebsack, who had punched her several times in the head, officials said.
Jordan was found in her bedroom closet bleeding from her head and blood running down her face, officials said.
Loebsack, 44, was committed to the Northampton County Prison on $5,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 11 a.m. Jan. 30.
