Jeremy Sullivan shoplifted computer gear from Best Buy twice in 3 days, police say
A man is facing charges for stealing computers from an electronics store twice in three days, officials said.
Jeremy Sullivan walked out of the Best Buy store at 4413 Birkland Place, Bethlehem Twp., Northampton Co., without paying for a $626.99 Samsung computer and a $679.99 HP computer at about 10:30 p.m. Jan. 5, and then stole a $649.99 Gateway Intel Core I computer from the same store at about 1 p.m. Jan. 7, officials said.
Police recognized Sullivan as the thief after watching store surveillance tapes on Jan. 10, officials said, adding that store officials turned over the tapes the day before.
Sullivan, 41, of 7577 Airport Road, East Allen Twp., Northampton Co., was arraigned Tuesday night on two retail thefts charges and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $5,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 2 p.m. Jan. 30.
