A Lehigh County judge has sided with the county controller in a legal challenge over the controller's job.
District Attorney Jim Martin had said Glenn Eckhart could not go from being a county commissioner to a county controller without a two-year break between positions.
Martin said he believed it was a violation of the county code of Pennsylvania and asked a judge to rule on it.
The judge disagreed, ruling that the Lehigh County Home Rule Charter takes precedence.
