Karoly sisters appeal judge's ruling in family will dispute
A lengthy legal battle involving disgraced attorney John Karoly is heading back to the courtroom.
The case centers around wills that were filed by Karoly on behalf of his brother Peter and Peter's wife. They were killed in a plane crash in 2007.
Karoly's sisters claimed the wills had been forged, but a judge ruled in August that the sisters failed to prove the documents were fake.
Now, the sisters are appealing that ruling. Both sides were back in court Tuesdsay. Attorneys said a judge encouraged them to reach a settlement.
John Karoly is currently serving a six-year jail sentence for tax evasion, mail fraud and money laundering.
