Lehigh Valley home prices on the rise
Homes across the Lehigh Valley are gaining value, according to new data released Tuesday.
CoreLogic, a leading residential property analytical company, released information showing that housing prices in Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton are going up. Prices in October rose two percent compared to the same time last year.
Compared to September sales prices, homes sold for 1.8 percent more in October.
Nationally, home prices grew 6.3 percent in October, compared to October of 2011.
CoreLogic data says national home prices are expected to rise by 7.1 percent in November this year, compared to November of last year.
Steady price increases are fueling the housing recovery. They encourage more homeowners to sell their homes. And they entice would-be buyers to purchase homes before prices rise further.
