A local camera and photography store is set to expand, not only with a second location but the opportunity to offer new services as well.

This spring Dan's Camera City will open a store the intersection of routes 248 and 33 in Lower Nazareth Township.  The store will sit next to Cici’s Pizza and Saladworks.

Dan's is known for its large selection of camera equipment and photo services.

The new store, in addition to reaching a new area within the Lehigh Valley, will also offer a portrait studio.

“We have seen our customers dealing with more traffic and less time to get everything done, and we want to make sure Dan’s is easily accessible for more residents of the valley,“ said the store’s co-owner Mike Woodland. “We're not taking this step lightly. Most stores with multiple locations do not come close to Dan’s level of service and expertise. That's why we're taking our time and sweating the details, to make sure that we bring the same great experience to the Easton area that you get today in our Allentown store.”

Currently, Dan's employs more than 90 employees in its Allentown store.  It anticipates hiring another 20 people with the opening of the new store.
