2 people shot in Easton; 1 dies at hospital
Victim ID'd as Matthew Kelly, 20, of Bethlehem; death ruled homicide
Police are investigating a shooting in which one person was killed and another was wounded.
The gunfire erupted around 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Spruce Street in Easton.
Responding officers found no victims at the scene, but they later learned that two people were admitted to different hospitals, police said.
One of the two victims, Matthew Kelly, 20, of Bethlehem, died Monday morning, said Zach Lysek, the Northampton County coroner, who rulled his death a homicide.
Police were looking for a red Saturn with Pa. license plate HTJ-9105, which was being driven by a woman in the area at the time of the shooting.
The vehicle was later located in Whitehall Twp., Lehigh Co., police said. The woman was also found and identified, but investigators would not comment further.
Investigators were questioning two women who were present at the time of the shooting, said Morganelli, who would not confirm if one of them was driving the car.
