Three people have been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Lehigh County that sent one man to the hospital.
The incident happened around 2:50 a.m. Sunday at 1050 Mickley Rd. in the Mickley Run Apartments in Whitehall Township.
Police found Arkim Johnson in a common hallway of the apartment complex with four stab wounds to his upper body. He was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery, where it was discovered one of the stab wounds had punctured a lung.
Police said Johnson had been at his girlfriend's apartment when the three men demanded to speak to Johnson.
He went into the hallway to confront the men, police said, and an argument broke out, which turned into a fight.
The men kept passing a bottle back and forth that contained gasoline, police said, and Johnson was hit with the bottle.
Three suspects found in the hallway near Johnson were taken into custody.
Javier and Alexis Cruz-Malagon, 23-year-old twins, and 25-year-old Antoine Howlett, all live at 2525 S. Fifth St. in Allentown.
The victim told police he was friends with the three at one point, and was also a roommate of the Cruz twins a couple of months before.
All three suspects told police they were extremely upset with Johnson and went to confront him at the apartment for different reasons. All three also told police they each hit the victim about the head or torso but none admitted they stabbed him.
According to court documents, Javier Cruz-Malagon said he brought the bottle of gasoline to intimidate Johnson, but he would never have set the building on fire with the Molotov cocktail.
Each of the three were charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, aggravated assault with serious injury, possessing an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person, and simple assault.
Javier and Alexis Cruz-Malagon are being held in the Lehigh County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
