UPPER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. -

Three guests at a Lehigh County hotel had a nasty surprise when they went to their vehicles early Wednesday.

All three SUVs had been broken into, with many valuables stolen from inside.

The three drivers had all left their vehicles in the parking lot at the Best Western at 5630 Tilghman Street in Upper Macungie Twp. around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Upper Macungie Police said all three vehicles had a window smashed in.

Thieves broke into a Toyota Rav4, owned by a 49-year-old Pittsburgh man. He said four laptop computers and a GPS unit were stolen.

A 32-year-old woman from Bellefonte, Centre Co., lost about 20 left foot sample North Face sneakers, 30 North Face knit hats, a small metal box containing a flash drive, sunglasses and about $20 in quarters.

She told police the thieves smashed the drivers side window of her Honda Pilot.

The last vehicle, a Toyota Venza was undrivable, as the burglars removed all four of its wheels. It's owned by a 57-year-old man from Franklin Square, N.Y.
