On Monday, authorities in Montgomery County issued an amber alert for 10-month-old Saanvi Venna.
Officials said she was taken from an apartment complex in Upper Merion Township after her grandmother who was babysitting her was murdered.
On Friday, police arrested Raghunandan Yandamuri and said he targeted the Venna family for a 50-thousand dollar ransom for baby Saanvi.
Her body was found Friday hidden in a basement fitness room at the apartment complex where the suspect and victims lived.
A Monday evening crash in Berks County involving an SUV and a horse-drawn buggy claimed the life of a pregnant woman.
It happened on Park Road in Maidencreek Township.
Police said the SUV didn't see the horse and buggy, and a husband and wife were thrown from it.
Laura Ringler, 27, was killed. Her husband John was injured, but survived.
On Wednesday Pennsylvania state representative Joe Brennan waived his preliminary hearing.
Police said Brennan assaulted his wife at their Fountain Hill home, then drove drunk in August.
Court documents show Brennan's wife had bruises on her arms and neck.
Brennan is facing charges of DUI, simple assault, and harassment.
If convicted, he faces up to two years in jail.
Wednesday evening, Carbon County police made an arrest after a man found was found dead and buried in a shallow grave.
Police arrested Michael Rhubart of Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.
He was charged with homicide in the death of Jubar Hughes.
Police said that while Hughes was from Newark, New Jersey, he was living with Rhubart.
Police said Rhubart admitted to shooting Hughes in the head with a shotgun last Saturday and burying him near an ATV trail in Kidder Township on Sunday.
Rhubart is being held without bail.
