EASTON, Pa. -

A man accused of pulling a serrated knife on his co-worker and swinging wildly at him several times last June is now in custody, officials said.

Adalberto Morrell tried to injure Manuel Ordinola with the knife during an argument at their workplace at 512 March St., Easton, at about 6:30 a.m. June 4, 2012, officials said.

Ordinola and a witness to the attack went to police headquarters to report the incident, said officials, adding that Morrell refused to meet with police and give a statement.

Morrell, 57, of 2103 Florence Ave., Bethlehem, was arraigned Sunday night on charges of aggravated and simple assault and reckless endangerment and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $75,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. April 19.
