LOWHILL TWP., Pa. -

A Berks County woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Lehigh County on Wednesday, officials said.

Alisha M. Heilman suffered multiple injuries when her vehicle collided with a pickup truck on Route 100 North, just north of George Road, near Lyon Valley, in Lowhill Township around 4:15 a.m., officials said.

Heilman, 28, of Kempton, Albany Township, was rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital, but she passed away less than an hour after the crash, said the coroner, who ruled her death an accident.

Route 100 was closed for several hours between Kernsville Road and Route 309.

The Lehigh County coroner's office and the state police at Fogelsville are continuing their investigation.
