Allentown, Reading, Bethlehem named 'Playful Cities'
Allentown, Bethlehem and Reading are three of seven Pennsylvania cities honored by KaBOOM! as being 'Playful City USA Communities," celebrating the art of play.
They are three of 213 cities and towns in 43 states across the U.S. to earn the distinction, recognizing their initiatives to saving playtime.
Allentown is one of 27 to earn the honor for the fourth year.
KaBOOM! is a national non-profit dedicated to saving play for America's children.
According to KaBOOM!'s website, their mission is "to create great play spaces through the participation and leadership of communities."
