Allentown mayor presents 2013 budget
Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski has submitted his 2013 budget to city council.
The $88 million spending plan doesn't include any tax hikes, but the mayor said taxes could go up in the coming years if something isn't done to combat the city's rising pension costs.
Pawlowski is pushing a plan to lease the city's water and sewer systems to raise $200 million over the next 50-years.
Pawlowski will make a formal presentation of his budget to city council at a meeting Wednesday night.
