BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

Bethlehem is urging its residents to take small steps toward a healthier life.

The Bethlehem Health Bureau is hosting a series of free events as part of National Public Health Week.

This year's theme focuses on preventative treatments that can save lives and money.

The bureau offered free blood pressure screenings on Tuesday.

HIV, hepatitis C, and lead screenings will be offered all day on Wednesday.

Car seat checks will be performed from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursday.

A wellness fair will be held from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday.

All events will be held at the Bethlehem Health Bureau at 10 East Church St., in Bethlehem.
